Prashanth Neel, one of Indian cinema’s most successful filmmakers, is expanding his creative footprint beyond action entertainers. While he is currently busy with Dragon, starring Jr. NTR, the filmmaker has also backed a new horror venture as presenter. The makers have now unveiled the first-look poster of 418 and announced its theatrical release date.
418 release date announced with eerie first-look poster
Production house Mythri Movie Makers took to social media on July 19 to announce that 418 will release in theatres on July 31, 2026. Along with the announcement, the banner unveiled the film’s first-look poster featuring the tagline:
“Behind this door lies the beginning of all your fears.”
The horror thriller stars Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju, and Preethi Pagadal in pivotal roles. It is directed by Kirtan Nadagouda, who reportedly previously worked with Prashanth Neel as an assistant director. The film marks his directorial debut.
First-look poster teases a chilling mystery
The poster sets a haunting tone by presenting the scene through the keyhole of a locked door. Inside the room, a girl is seen sitting on the floor with her back turned to the viewer, creating an unsettling atmosphere while revealing very little about the story.
Though the makers have kept the plot under wraps, the first-look artwork hints at a psychological horror experience. With the release date now locked, the trailer is expected to arrive soon.

Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel is currently working on Dragon, his much-awaited action thriller starring Jr. NTR in the lead. Scheduled for a June 11, 2027 release, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Rukmini Vasanth, Biju Menon, Ashutosh Rana, Siddhant Gupta, Anshuman Pushkar, and several others in prominent roles.
