Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are set to reunite on screen with the period action drama Ranabaali, which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 16, 2026. Ahead of its theatrical release, the makers have unveiled an intense teaser, offering a glimpse into the film’s rugged and gritty world.
Ranabaali Teaser
The 2-minute-32-second teaser introduces Vijay Deverakonda as Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali, a feared and fierce warrior who rises against British oppression. Set in the late 1800s, the film presents Vijay in a rugged new avatar as he takes on the colonial forces. The teaser focuses on the brutality inflicted on the people and Ranabaali’s violent resistance against the oppressors.
Arnold Vosloo, known for The Mummy, is introduced as the film’s primary antagonist, portraying a ruthless British oppressor. Rashmika Mandanna makes a brief appearance as Jayamma, Ranabaali’s wife, while the teaser concludes on a cliffhanger that hints at a larger chapter in the warrior’s legendary story.
Ranabaali was initially scheduled to release on September 11, 2026, before being postponed to October 16. The delay was reportedly linked to Rashmika’s injury while shooting for Mysaa, which affected her availability to complete the remaining portions of Ranabaali.
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s work front
Vijay Deverakonda will next be seen in Rowdy Janardhana, an action drama directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and co-starring Keerthy Suresh. The film is slated for a December 2026 theatrical release.
The actor has also announced a collaboration with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv. Tentatively titled VDxShouryuv, the project is billed as a romantic action film, with Hesham Abdul Wahab composing its music.
Rashmika Mandanna was last seen in Homi Adajania’s romantic comedy Cocktail 2, a spiritual sequel to the 2012 film Cocktail. The actress will next headline the action thriller Mysaa, directed by Rawindra Pulle, which is scheduled to release on November 27, 2026.
She is also rumoured to be part of Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film Raaka, although an official confirmation is still awaited.
