Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, is one of the most-awaited Indian films of 2026. Ahead of its theatrical release, the makers recently showcased the film’s trailer to a select audience at a grand event in Delhi. During the launch, Yash spoke about the vision behind the project and showered praise on his co-stars, especially Ranbir Kapoor.
Yash praises Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in Ramayana
Speaking at the event, Yash described Ramayana as a dream project driven by a common purpose.
“We have all come together with one vision and one conviction—to take this story to a global platform. Everyone has kept their individual interests aside. There is only one shared interest, which is to tell the story of Prabhu Shri Ram to audiences around the world and celebrate him in our own country,” he said.
The actor went on to applaud Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Ram, expressing confidence that audiences would appreciate the dedication he has brought to the role.
“Ranbir Kapoor has been phenomenal. I think the whole of India will understand how deeply he has surrendered to this role and see the magic he has created,” Yash shared.
He also praised Sai Pallavi’s performance, saying, “When you see Sai Pallavi perform, her eyes say everything.” Yash further thanked director Nitesh Tiwari for helping him understand his character and guiding him throughout the filmmaking process.

Produced by Namit Malhotra and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is a two-part adaptation of the timeless Indian epic.
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, the film features Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, and Adinath Kothare in pivotal roles.
The first installment is slated to release during Diwali 2026, while the second part is scheduled to arrive in Diwali 2027.

Following the blockbuster success of KGF: Chapter 2, Yash will next headline Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geetu Mohandas.
The period action thriller reportedly explores a powerful syndicate against the backdrop of a father-son conflict. The film also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi in key roles.
A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is scheduled to release on August 26, 2026, with its trailer reportedly expected to debut on August 8.
