Ranabaali: Rashmika Mandanna completes filming for Vijay Deverakonda starrer
The Ranabaali team shared a short video announcing Rashmika Mandanna’s shoot wrap. The actress was seen in character as Jayamma, who appears to be pregnant in the glimpse. As she completed filming, director Rahul Sankrityan and Vijay Deverakonda were seen sharing a warm embrace with the actress.
Alongside the video, the makers announced, “It’s a wrap for Jayamma,” while expressing that they would miss Rashmika on the sets. The team also teased that the much-awaited Endhayya Saami song will be released soon. While a glimpse of the track had already been shared earlier, the latest update suggests that the complete song is now set to be unveiled.
Ranabaali teaser introduces Vijay Deverakonda’s warrior
The makers had earlier unveiled the teaser of Ranabaali, offering the first look at Vijay Deverakonda’s character. Set in the late 1800s, the film follows Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali, a fierce warrior who rises against the British forces.
The teaser also introduced The Mummy actor Arnold Vosloo as the film’s primary antagonist, portraying a ruthless and oppressive figure. Rashmika Mandanna appeared briefly in the glimpse, while the cliffhanger ending hinted that the story holds more layers surrounding the legendary warrior.
Ranabaali was originally scheduled to arrive in cinemas on September 11, 2026, but the release was later moved to October 16. The postponement came after reports that Rashmika, who sustained an injury while shooting for Mysaa, would require additional time to complete her portions of the film.
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming projects
Vijay Deverakonda has several projects lined up after Ranabaali. The actor will next feature in Rowdy Janardhana, an action drama directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and co-starring Keerthy Suresh. The film is expected to release in theatres in December 2026.
He has also announced a collaboration with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv. Tentatively titled VDxShouryuv, the project is described as a romantic action film, with Hesham Abdul Wahab composing its songs and background score.
Rashmika Mandanna, meanwhile, will headline Mysaa, an action film directed by Rawindra Pulle. The movie is slated for a November 27, 2026 theatrical release. She has also been rumoured to be joining Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone in Raaka, although an official confirmation regarding her casting is still awaited.
