Just over a week into Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, the prison-themed reality show has already pushed some contestants to their emotional limits. In the latest episode, Sunita Ahuja and Ram Kapoor broke down on camera and expressed their desire to leave the show.
Sunita Ahuja and Ram Kapoor seek an exit
The situation escalated after the contestants exhausted their weekly ration budget, resulting in a strict penalty from the jail authorities. As part of the punishment, the housemates reportedly had to go without food for 12 hours before being served a clear vegetable soup.
Upset with the conditions, Sunita Ahuja refused to eat and urged fellow contestants to join her in a hunger strike. Ram Kapoor also declined his meal, saying he could not bring himself to eat under the circumstances.
According to the actor, accepting the food while others suffered would compromise his self-respect.
Sunita recalls Govinda’s advice
During a task, Sunita became emotional and refused to continue participating. Breaking down in tears, she revealed that her husband, Govinda, had advised her not to join the reality show.
“He told me not to do this show. I just want to return home to my children. I would rather fall sick outside than be treated like this,” she said, pleading with the makers to let her leave.
The emotional episode comes as Lock Upp 2 continues to test contestants with strict prison-like conditions. Meanwhile, hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh welcomed Shilpa Shinde as a wildcard entrant.
As of now, the makers have not announced whether Sunita Ahuja and Ram Kapoor will be allowed to leave the show or face any consequences for seeking an exit.
