The Bigg Boss franchise has become synonymous with larger-than-life contestants, high-voltage drama and popular celebrity hosts. As the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali editions continue to attract major stars, the reported remuneration of those occupying the host’s chair has also become a topic of interest.
Over the years, some of the biggest names from Indian entertainment have been associated with the reality show, with their reported fees running into several crores. But who commands the biggest paycheck among the hosts?
Salman Khan remains the highest-paid Bigg Boss host
Salman Khan has been the face of Bigg Boss Hindi since Season 4 and continues to be its most recognisable host. According to figures reported by Variety India, the superstar reportedly earns around Rs. 200 crore for an entire season.
His remuneration is said to be Rs. 15 crore or more per weekend, making Salman the highest-paid host across the Bigg Boss franchise by a considerable margin.
Sourav Ganguly and Vijay Sethupathi’s reported fees
The regional editions of Bigg Boss have also attracted some of India’s biggest names. Sourav Ganguly, who is hosting Bigg Boss Bangla Season 3, reportedly commands a package worth more than Rs. 125 crore.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi, who took over as the host of the Tamil edition after Kamal Haasan, reportedly earns around Rs. 3-4 crore per weekend. His total remuneration for the season is estimated to be in the range of Rs. 75-80 crore.
Nagarjuna and Mohanlal’s reported Bigg Boss earnings
Nagarjuna has reportedly seen a substantial increase in his remuneration since taking over the hosting duties of Bigg Boss Telugu. After earning around Rs. 10 crore when he began hosting the show in 2019, his reported fee rose to nearly Rs. 35 crore in 2025.
In Malayalam, Mohanlal has been associated with Bigg Boss since its inaugural season. The superstar reportedly earns close to Rs. 30 crore per season and is said to shoot for approximately 20 days for the reality show.
Kichcha Sudeep’s reported Bigg Boss Kannada fees
Kichcha Sudeep is another long-standing face of the franchise, having hosted Bigg Boss Kannada for several seasons. According to the report, the actor is paid around Rs. 20 crore for a season, with his remuneration reportedly working out to approximately Rs. 2 crore per weekend episode.
Salman Khan tops the Bigg Boss hosts’ fee chart
Based on these reported figures, Salman Khan remains comfortably ahead of the other Bigg Boss hosts when it comes to overall seasonal remuneration. While every regional edition has its own star power and commercial appeal, the Hindi version continues to command the franchise’s biggest hosting fee.
Salman’s long-standing association with Bigg Boss and his popularity with the show’s audience continue to make him the franchise’s most valuable host in terms of reported remuneration.
