In a recent post on social media, Elvish Yadav addressed the controversy surrounding his argument with Tejasswi. He wrote, “If someone tries to create a ‘boy-girl’ narrative about me on national television, I’m not okay with it and honestly, no one should be. Dragging a gender angle into everything is not cool. I responded in the language that the situation deserved. Giving false interviews and speaking disrespectfully about my fans is unacceptable. And leaking videos from the set just to look cool or to make the other person seem wrong isn’t right either.”
Meanwhile, a video from an upcoming episode of Playground Season 5 has gone viral, showing Elvish and Tejasswi Prakash involved in another tense exchange over his comments.
While discussing the performance of his team members, Elvish remarked, “Even girls are driving the car perfectly.” Tejasswi took objection to the statement and confronted him, following which Elvish interrupted her and said, “Shut the f**k up.”
Tejasswi was visibly upset by the remark and responded, “You don’t talk to me like that.” Elvish then asked her not to interfere while he was speaking to his team member. Questioning his choice of words, Tejasswi asked, “Why are you saying ladkiyan chala rahi hai?”
The disagreement between the two mentors reportedly dates back to Episode 18, when they participated in a secret card game that gave Tejasswi the authority to exchange contestants between the teams. The prospect of losing some of his stronger contestants resulted in a disagreement between the two mentors.
During the discussion, Elvish told his team that he did not want any of his contestants to be moved out. Tejasswi questioned the statement, asking who would actually want a contestant from their own team to leave. The conversation gradually became more personal.
The situation intensified after Elvish accused Tejasswi of showing bias. He also warned her about the possible consequences of swapping one of his team members, seemingly referring to the reaction his fanbase could have on social media. Tejasswi objected to the statement and questioned whether he was attempting to intimidate her by invoking his followers.
