Allu Arjun is currently busy with Raaka, directed by Atlee, and is also preparing for his next collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj, tentatively titled AA23 (LK07). According to the latest reports, the makers are planning to give fans an early glimpse of the project through a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video from the film’s look test.
AA23 look test video reportedly on the way
As per a report by Gulte, Lokesh Kanagaraj recently conducted Allu Arjun’s look test for AA23, and the footage is expected to be released in the coming days.
The report states that the video will not serve as the film’s title announcement teaser. Instead, it is expected to be a promotional BTS glimpse offering fans an early look at Allu Arjun’s transformation for the action entertainer.
However, the makers have not officially confirmed these reports.
What we know about AA23
AA23 marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and Lokesh Kanagaraj. The announcement video featured the actor sporting the signature silver kada often associated with Lokesh’s films, hinting at the filmmaker’s trademark action-packed style.
The film’s music is being composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his first collaboration with Allu Arjun. The recently released “23 Theme”, written by Heisenberg, also generated significant buzz among fans.
While there has been no official casting announcement, reports suggest Pooja Hegde is being considered for the female lead. If confirmed, it would mark her reunion with Allu Arjun after DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
Adding to the excitement, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s frequent collaborator Rathna Kumar recently described AA23 as “a proper pan-Indian film” with global appeal.
Allu Arjun’s upcoming films
Before AA23, Allu Arjun will headline Raaka, directed by Atlee. The big-budget entertainer is expected to feature extensive CGI and VFX, with reports suggesting the actor could portray four different characters in a story centered around parallel universes.
Deepika Padukone has been confirmed as the female lead, while Sai Abhyankkar is composing the film’s music. Reports have also linked Rashmika Mandanna to a key role, although her casting is yet to be officially announced.
