Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up to deliver another exciting project for his fans. While his upcoming film Ranabaali, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, is slated for release later this year, the actor has already announced his next venture. Taking to social media, he revealed his collaboration with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv on what he described as an “intimidating film.”
Vijay Deverakonda teams up with Shouryuv
Known for constantly working on new projects, Vijay Deverakonda has now confirmed his next film with Shouryuv. Even amid personal milestones and preparations for Ranabaali, the actor has moved swiftly into his next collaboration.
Tentatively titled VDxShouryuv, the project marks the first time the actor and filmmaker are joining forces. Sharing the announcement poster, Vijay introduced the team behind the film and expressed his excitement about the collaboration.
In his caption, he wrote:
“My next is #VDxShouryuv. Introducing the team taking on the scary task of making this intimidating film. So happy to have this firecracker global team working on this one with Shouryuv on his wild imagination and intense heart. ROAR my friends. I will give you my all.”
First look teases an intense narrative
The announcement poster carries the intriguing line, “All this anger was once loved,” with the words “love” and “anger” highlighted in red. It shows multiple men armed with weapons, led by Vijay Deverakonda in a regal avatar. Dressed in royal attire and adorned with gold jewellery, he is seen holding four fierce dogs on leashes, hinting at a powerful and intense storyline.

On the work front, Vijay will next be seen in Ranabaali, a period drama set in 19th-century colonial India and inspired by events from the Rayalaseema region. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film features Vijay as a fierce freedom fighter, with Rashmika Mandanna playing his wife, Jayamma.
The film also stars Arnold Vosloo as the antagonist, Sir Theodore Hector. Ranabaali is scheduled to release in theatres on September 11, 2026, in multiple languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
