Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 continues its sensational box office run, emerging as one of the biggest Malayalam hits of the year. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the family crime thriller collected an estimated Rs. 5.75 crore on Day 6 (Tuesday), showing a strong hold despite a 10 percent dip from Monday and around a 45 percent decline from its opening day figures.
With this impressive performance, Drishyam 3 has officially crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark in Kerala within just six days of release. The film has now become the second-fastest Malayalam movie to enter the prestigious half-century club, standing only behind Mohanlal’s own L2: Empuraan.
Trade trends suggest the film is expected to remain steady on Thursday as well, with the Eid-al-Adha holiday likely to give collections another boost on Day 7. Based on current momentum, Drishyam 3 is projected to wrap up its first week in Kerala with collections in the range of Rs. 57–58 crore.
The film’s exceptional weekday performance also hints at a massive second weekend ahead. If the momentum continues, Drishyam 3 could not only comfortably enter the Rs. 100 crore club in Kerala but may also challenge the lifetime collections of top Malayalam grossers such as Vaazha 2, Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, and Thudarum.
