Previously referred to as Panorama Studios Production No. 3, the upcoming Malayalam crime-supernatural thriller has now been officially titled UNMADHAM, as exclusively reported by Pinkvilla. Translating to “frenzy,” the film is set to explore a dark and unsettling narrative that unfolds when a police constable revisits a long-buried case. Along with unveiling its first look, it has also been learned that the film will arrive in cinemas on August 7, 2026, featuring Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose in lead roles.
All about UNMADHAM
Backed by T-Series and Panorama Studios, the film marks the directorial debut of Kiran Das. He has previously contributed to acclaimed projects such as Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Joji, Moothon, Romancham, Rorschach, Joseph, and Ela Veezha Poonchira. The first-look poster presents a police officer standing before a shattered mirror, alongside a mysterious, unidentified figure—hinting at the film’s eerie and suspenseful tone.
Sharing his vision, director Kiran Das described the film as an exploration of psychological and emotional chaos. He noted that UNMADHAM is not just about the events unfolding in the story, but also about the mental state of its protagonist. The narrative is designed to keep audiences questioning whether the forces at play are truly supernatural or something more grounded, with that ambiguity forming the core tension of the film.
Led by Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose, the film promises layered, emotionally intense performances. The project is presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar under T-Series Films in association with Panorama Studios. It is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, with co-producers Ram Mirchandani and Rajesh Menon, and Abhinav Mehrotra serving as creative producer.
