by masalabuzz

Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 Agnipareeksha has officially kicked off, giving commoner contestants an opportunity to compete for a place in the main reality show. Streaming on JioHotstar from August 15, 2026, the preliminary competition has already introduced a series of demanding tasks, with three contestants securing a major advantage in the opening round.

Manichithrathazhu Cuts the Competition in Half

The first task, titled Manichithrathazhu, challenged all 40 participants to identify the correct key and corresponding lock. Following the task, 20 contestants advanced to the next stage.

The remaining contestants were then divided into teams by judges Akhil Marar, Ranjini Haridas and Riyas Salim, setting up the next round of challenges.

Pranav Becomes the First Infinity Pendant Winner

The first team challenge tested the contestants’ speed and accuracy as they had to build a pyramid using cups within a specified time. Three participants successfully completed the task, but Pranav ultimately emerged as the winner after the judges assessed their performances.

With the victory, Pranav became the first contestant to receive the coveted Infinity Pendant.

Parvathy and Shijin Complete the Winning Trio

The next challenge, Kulam-Kara, tested the participants’ concentration and ability to maintain focus under pressure. Parvathy, a makeup artist from Attingal, outperformed her fellow contestants to claim the second Infinity Pendant.

The final task required participants to throw balls into glasses, with Shijin displaying the best performance and securing the third and final Infinity Pendant of the opening round.

Infinity Pendant Gives Contestants a Special Advantage

Pranav, Parvathy and Shijin were each rewarded with an Infinity Pendant, giving them a potentially important advantage in the competition. While the complete powers and privileges attached to the pendant have not been disclosed yet, the special status could play a crucial role as the game progresses.

Eight Contestants Enter the Danger Zone

While Pranav, Parvathy and Shijin gained an early advantage, eight other participants were sent to the danger zone, also referred to as the outhouse, following the first round.

With Agnipareeksha now underway, the contestants will face tougher challenges and unexpected twists as they compete for their chance to enter Bigg Boss Malayalam 8.
