Vijay Deverakonda-Vikram Kumar film in the works?
According to reports from Aakashavaani, Vijay Deverakonda is likely to join forces with 24 director Vikram Kumar for an upcoming film. The project is said to be backed by Maddock Films and is reportedly being planned as a pan-India entertainer. However, there has been no official confirmation from the makers or the actor so far.
Vikram Kumar currently focused on Dhootha Season 2
Meanwhile, Vikram Kumar has already begun work on the second season of Dhootha. The update was recently shared by Naga Chaitanya, confirming the return of Parvathy Thiruvothu and Priya Bhavani Shankar.
The upcoming season is expected to take the mystery and suspense of the first installment a step further, with a more layered and complex narrative. The series revolves around Sagar, a successful journalist whose life spirals into chaos after he starts receiving newspaper clippings that accurately predict tragic and supernatural incidents involving people close to him.
As he becomes the prime suspect in a string of mysterious events, Sagar is forced to uncover the source of the predictions while confronting secrets from his own past. The first season also featured Prachi Desai, Tharun Bhascker, Rohini, Tanikella Bharani, Anish Kuruvilla, and Srikanth Murali in important roles.
Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming films
On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda will next headline Ranabaali, a period action drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and is slated for release on September 11, 2026.
The actor is also working on Rowdy Janardhana, an action drama directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and co-starring Keerthy Suresh. Additionally, Vijay has announced a new project with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv, further expanding his upcoming lineup.
