Venkatesh Daggubati and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram have officially launched their upcoming collaboration with director Anil Ravipudi. Tentatively titled VenkyAnil5 (also referred to as NKRAR2), the film is scheduled to arrive in theatres during the Sankranthi 2027 festive season.
Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram kickstart Anil Ravipudi’s next
Sharing the announcement on social media, Venkatesh expressed his excitement about reuniting with the filmmaker. He wrote, “Back with Anil Ravipudi, and this time with an amazing gang. Sankranthi 2027 Vidudhala.”
The film boasts a star-studded cast, with Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty playing the female leads alongside Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram.
Earlier, the makers had also confirmed that composer GV Prakash Kumar has been roped in to handle the film’s music and background score.
Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi’s successful partnership
Venkatesh previously collaborated with Anil Ravipudi on the blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunam. The action-comedy revolved around YD Raju, a retired IPS officer whose peaceful family life is disrupted when he is drawn into a high-profile kidnapping investigation by his former girlfriend, now a police officer.
As the mission unfolds, his wife joins them, leading to a series of humorous and chaotic situations. The film featured Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary in key roles and is currently streaming on ZEE5.
The veteran actor also made a special appearance in Ravipudi’s recent hit Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, headlined by Chiranjeevi.
Anil Ravipudi reunites with Kalyan Ram
The upcoming entertainer marks Anil Ravipudi’s second collaboration with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. Their first outing together was Pataas (2015), which also happened to be Ravipudi’s directorial debut and a major turning point in his career.
Venkatesh’s upcoming projects
Apart from VenkyAnil5, Venkatesh is gearing up for Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 (AK47), directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Described as a family thriller drama, the film features Srinidhi Shetty and Nara Rohit in prominent roles.
Industry reports indicate that the movie is targeting an October 2026 theatrical release, although an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.
