Chiyaan63, the upcoming action entertainer starring Chiyaan Vikram, has officially begun production. Directed by Iru Mugan filmmaker Anand Shankar, the project is already creating buzz, with reports now suggesting details about the actor’s remuneration.
Is Chiyaan Vikram charging Rs 20 crore for Chiyaan63?
According to industry analyst Mukil Vardhanan, Vikram has reportedly agreed to a remuneration of Rs 20 crore for the film. The amount is said to be lower than what he earned for some of his recent projects. Reports indicate that the actor has opted to reduce his upfront fee in response to current market conditions. In addition to his salary, he is also believed to have negotiated a share in the film’s profits. However, these claims remain unverified, and the makers have not issued any official statement regarding the matter.
About Chiyaan63
The makers recently unveiled a teaser glimpse announcing the project. The video showcased Vikram in a stylish and intense avatar, making a grand entry amid a smoke-filled backdrop. The glimpse was elevated by an energetic soundtrack composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Titled First Flame, the teaser served as an introduction to the film and hinted at a large-scale action spectacle.
Actress Riya Shibu, known for Sarvam Maya, has been cast as the female lead. Veteran performers MS Bhaskar and Urvashi are also part of the ensemble. While the release date has not yet been officially announced, industry reports suggest the film could arrive in theatres either toward the end of 2026 or during the early months of 2027.
