Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, is gearing up for its theatrical release on September 11, 2026. Directed by Shyam Singha Roy filmmaker Rahul Sankrityan, the makers have now dropped a special behind-the-scenes glimpse showcasing Vijay’s intense preparation for the film.
Ranabaali BTS glimpse showcases Vijay Deverakonda’s fierce warrior avatar
The newly released video offers a look at Vijay Deverakonda undergoing rigorous horse-riding training under professional guidance. The actor is seen working closely with Stallion horses, a breed known for its strength and difficulty in handling, especially during demanding action sequences.
The footage captures several training and rehearsal sessions, giving fans a glimpse of the effort, discipline, and physical endurance required to pull off the film’s large-scale action scenes.
Reportedly inspired by real events from the late 19th century during British colonial rule, Ranabaali promises a blend of action, drama, and historical elements. Alongside Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role, the film also features Arnold Vosloo in a pivotal character.
The special BTS video was released to mark Vijay Deverakonda’s 37th birthday. Adding to the celebrations, Rashmika Mandanna recently shared a heartfelt birthday message for the actor, posting a series of pictures and recalling memories from their first birthday celebration together after marriage.
Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming projects
Apart from Ranabaali, Vijay Deverakonda will next be seen in Rowdy Janardhana, an action drama directed by Ravi Kiran Kola. The film stars Keerthy Suresh opposite him, and the makers recently unveiled a striking birthday poster featuring her character standing on Vijay’s chest while he gazes at her with admiration.
Earlier promotional material revealed Vijay sporting a rugged makeover, complete with long hair and a thick curled moustache. The film’s title teaser was also launched in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The actor has also signed a new project with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv. Tentatively titled VDxShouryuv, the film is reportedly expected to feature Kriti Sanon as the female lead. Music for the project will be composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, reuniting him with Vijay after their successful collaboration on Kushi, which also starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
