Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Koratala Siva have officially kickstarted work on their upcoming project, currently referred to as NBK112. The film was formally launched with a pooja ceremony on June 25, 2026.

As preparations move forward, here’s a closer look at the film’s reported budget and release plans.

NBK112 Budget Details

According to reports from Aakashavaani, NBK112 is being mounted on a grand scale with an estimated budget ranging between Rs 150 crore and Rs 200 crore. Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri is said to have revealed this information during the film’s launch event held in Amaravati.

Production is expected to commence in August 2026, and the makers are reportedly eyeing a Summer 2027 theatrical release. While the project has officially gone on floors, details regarding the remaining cast members and technical crew are still under wraps.

What We Know About the Film So Far

Earlier industry buzz suggested that the action-packed entertainer might carry the title Carpenter. There have also been reports linking music composer Anirudh Ravichander to the project, though an official announcement is still awaited.

The movie is expected to be a full-fledged commercial action spectacle designed to cater to mass audiences. Reports indicate that the title under consideration has strong pan-India appeal and aligns perfectly with Balakrishna’s larger-than-life screen persona.

Speaking at the launch, Koratala Siva expressed his admiration for the actor, saying that he grew up watching Balakrishna’s films and considers himself a fan. He assured audiences that the film would deliver a memorable cinematic experience for both fans and movie lovers alike.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Upcoming Projects

Balakrishna was last seen in Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, directed by Boyapati Sreenu. The fantasy action sequel featured Aadhi Pinisetty, Samyuktha Menon, and Harshaali Malhotra in key roles. Despite high expectations, the film received mixed responses and underperformed commercially.

Apart from NBK112, Balakrishna is also gearing up for another project tentatively titled NBK111, directed by Gopichand Malineni. While Nayanthara was initially reported to play the female lead, later reports suggested that Kajal Aggarwal may have replaced her. Meanwhile, Manchu Manoj is rumored to be playing the primary antagonist.
