1. FWICE announces ban on Ranveer Singh; Actor’s team releases statement

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) addressed the ongoing industry discussion regarding Don 3, following updates shared by filmmaker Farhan Akhtar over Ranveer Singh’s alleged withdrawal from the highly anticipated project on May 25. Speaking about the directive, Tiwari said, “The non cooperation notice has been implemented right away. No member of the film body will work with Ranveer Singh.” He further clarified the decision would remain in place until Singh personally addresses the matter with the organization.

In an official statement, Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson said, “Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity, and mutual respect.

“While several narratives and speculations have surfaced over time, Ranveer has never considered it necessary to respond publicly or contribute to conjecture. His focus remains firmly on his work and the commitments ahead,” he added.

The spokesperson continued, “He continues to hold deep respect and goodwill for all those involved and sincerely wishes the franchise continued success. Choosing restraint and grace in moments like these has always been a conscious decision on his part, and he will continue to maintain the same stance.”

2. Farhan Akhtar in talks to join Aamir Khan in Ashutosh Gowariker’s sports drama

After the success of Lagaan, Aamir Khan and filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker are gearing up to reunite exactly after 25 years for a new film based on the life of legendary Indian cricketer Lala Amarnath. 

Now, Masala Buzz has exclusively learnt that Farhan Akhtar is in talks to join the project in a pivotal role. According to sources, Farhan is being considered to play Lala Amarnath’s best friend in the film, a character who was originally a part of undivided India but moves to Pakistan post-partition.

“Aamir Khan plays Lala Amarnath in the film, which is essentially a friendship story set against the backdrop of cricket and partition. Farhan Akhtar is in talks for the role of his closest friend. The emotional dynamics between the two characters form the heart of the narrative,” revealed a source.

3. Karan Johar breaks silence on unfollowing Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt

Filmmaker Karan Johar recently became the center of online discussion after fans noticed a major change on his Instagram account. Among the names no longer appearing on Karan’s following list were Shah Rukh Khan, Ananya Panday, Kartik Aaryan, and Manish Malhotra. Karan addressed the matter directly through his Instagram Stories. Explaining the reason behind the unexpected clean-up, he clarified that the move had nothing to do with personal issues or industry fallout.

“It’s a DIGITAL DETOX!!!! Am unfollowing everyone to reduce my time and energy spent on the gram!!!” Karan wrote. The filmmaker also requested people not to sensationalize the situation or turn it into a larger controversy. “This can’t be national news for gods sake …please clickbait something else! This is irrelevant,” he added.

4. Rapper Lil Wayne gets engaged again

Lil Wayne is reportedly set to tie the knot once again. According to TMZ, the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., got engaged earlier to a woman believed to be in her 20s and from Indiana. However, the identity of his fiancée has not been publicly revealed so far.

The report suggested that the rapper has intentionally kept the relationship out of the spotlight, continuing the more private lifestyle he has embraced in recent years. Details regarding the proposal and wedding plans also remain under wraps, making the engagement one of his most low-key romances to date.

5. Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya blessed with twin boys

Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya’s happiness doubled when the couple got to know that they’re expecting not one, but two babies in their first pregnancy. After announcing the same, followed by multiple maternity photoshoots, baby showers, and traditional Godh Bharai ceremonies, the couple has finally stepped into parenthood.

The happy father dropped a poster and revealed to the world that they have become parents to two twin baby boys. The blue poster with the image of two babies read, “We asked for happiness, God said, ‘Take double’. Blessed with twin baby boys.

In the caption, Vivek also expressed, “The wait is finally over. “The Boys” are here, and life already feels more beautiful than we ever imagined. Mere Karan Arjun aa gaye! Need all your love and blessings as Div and I begin this incredible new chapter of parenthood.”

6. Jailer 2: Makers in talks with Hrithik Roshan for a cameo

Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, is expected to release in theaters in September 2026. As the movie inches closer to release, it appears that the makers are eyeing Hrithik Roshan for a potential cameo.

According to a report by Valai Pechu, the team behind Jailer 2 is currently in talks with Hrithik Roshan for a cameo appearance. Initially, the makers were reportedly planning to cast Shah Rukh Khan for the role. However, the Pathaan actor is said to have declined the cameo due to his commitments to King.

Jailer 2 is an upcoming sequel directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, with Rajinikanth reprising the lead role. The film is expected to continue the story of Muthuvel Pandian following the events of the first installment.
