Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is on a remarkable run in the UK. The film has collected around £4.388 million so far, officially making it the highest-grossing Indian film ever in the region — just edging past Pathaan. With the film still playing in cinemas, it’s expected to finish somewhere in the £4.45–4.50 million range.
This isn’t the only market where the film has dominated. Dhurandhar: The Revenge has already emerged as the top-grossing Indian film in both Canada and Australia. In the United States, it currently sits just behind Baahubali: The Conclusion, but still holds the record among Hindi-language films. That effectively makes it the biggest Bollywood title across most major international markets, with the exception of the UAE-GCC region, where it didn’t release.
Interestingly, the first Dhurandhar film had performed strongly in markets like the US, Canada, and Australia, even setting records there — but the UK was one place where it fell short. It finished fourth, behind Pathaan, Saiyaara, and Jawan.
One possible reason often discussed is audience demographics. The UK has a significant Pakistani and Bangladeshi diaspora, which plays a big role in the performance of Indian films there. The Dhurandhar franchise, with its strong patriotic themes, may not have connected as widely with that segment. On the flip side, films like Pathaan and Jawan benefited from broader appeal and highly popular music, which helped pull in a more diverse audience.
With the sequel, though, that gap has clearly been closed. The franchise has now managed to top the UK charts as well, completing a clean sweep across key overseas markets.
