Vishwanath & Sons, headlined by Suriya and Mamitha Baiju, wrapped up its theatrical journey on a decent note. The film concluded its worldwide box-office run with a gross collection of Rs. 205 crore. The Indian markets contributed approximately Rs. 140 crore, while the overseas territories added more than USD 6.85 million (around Rs. 65 crore) to the global tally.
Interestingly, the film found its strongest footing in the Telugu-speaking states despite being an original Tamil production. Vishwanath & Sons recorded around Rs. 58.50 crore in AP/TS, surpassing its Tamil Nadu collection of Rs. 55 crore. The Telugu markets played a crucial role in helping the film maintain a decent theatrical run, as the overall performance would have been considerably weaker without their contribution. In Tamil Nadu, the Suriya-led film initially appeared headed for a disappointing finish, but eventually managed to perform slightly better than anticipated, although the final numbers remain below expectations.
The film also collected approximately Rs. 16.75 crore in Karnataka and Rs. 8.25 crore in Kerala. The remaining Indian territories contributed another Rs. 1.50 crore to the overall domestic gross.

Despite ending up as Suriya’s second-highest-grossing film of all time, behind Karuppu, Vishwanath & Sons ultimately fell short of the expectations surrounding it. Given the film’s scale and Suriya’s presence, a considerably stronger box-office performance was anticipated.
Suriya will next be seen in Scene, which is directed by Jithu Madhavan, the filmmaker behind Aavesham. The upcoming action-comedy will feature Suriya in the role of a quirky cop, and it remains to be seen whether his next outing can deliver a stronger theatrical result.
