Hanuman Ansh Box Office Collections: Week 5 Brings Record Rs 86.50 Crore; Film Goes Past Rs 150 Crore

by masalabuzz

Hanuman Ansh continued its impressive run at the Indian box office on its 5th Thursday, adding an estimated Rs. 9.25 crore nett to its total. With this, the devotional drama’s Week 5 collection reached Rs. 86.50 crore nett, marking its highest-grossing week so far. The film also recorded an extraordinary 48 percent jump over its fourth week, making the feat even more remarkable.

The film’s 5-week total now stands at Rs. 156.60 crore nett in India. Hanuman Ansh will now face the new release Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. However, based on the film’s current trends, the new release is not expected to significantly impact its box-office run.

Interestingly, Hanuman Ansh is currently running at around 2.5 times the post-fifth-week collections of Dhurandhar, which collected Rs. 43 crore nett after five weeks. If Hanuman Ansh continues to maintain a similar lead, it could reach approximately Rs. 263 crore nett. Given its exceptional momentum, the film could extend its lead further, keeping the Rs. 300 crore nett mark within the realm of possibility.

The film has already emerged as a SUPER BLOCKBUSTER, delivering one of the highest returns on investment in Indian cinema. Made on a reported budget of just Rs. 2 crore, Hanuman Ansh could potentially generate more than Rs. 100 crore in absolute profits, with additional revenue expected from its digital rights, which are yet to be sold.

The distributor’s profits could rise further if the sharing terms are renegotiated. Under the prevailing arrangement, the distributor reportedly receives only 30 percent of the film’s nett collections as its share after the third week. While this is technically the fifth week, the film is performing more like it is in its second week in terms of business. A successful renegotiation could potentially give the distributor an additional Rs. 20–30 crore in share.
