After months of anticipation, the makers of Ramayana have finally revealed Ranbir Kapoor’s first look as Lord Rama. The 2-minute 38-second teaser offers a glimpse of the noble king who renounces worldly comforts to honour his duty and elders.
The much-awaited teaser showcases Ranbir in a regal and powerful avatar in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Part 1. The visuals present him as an ideal ruler—majestic, selfless, and devoted to his people, ready to make the ultimate sacrifices for the greater good.
Sharing the vision behind the character, the makers described Rama as the “greatest of all time,” emphasizing his values of duty over desire and sacrifice over self. They added that his legacy continues to inspire faith in humanity and the power of goodness to overcome conflict.
Ahead of its India release, the teaser—titled Rama—was premiered in Los Angeles for an exclusive global audience. During the event, Ranbir revealed that he had initially declined the project, but a personal milestone changed his mind. He shared that becoming a father to his daughter, Raha, played a key role in his decision to take on the role, calling it a turning point in his life.
The film also features Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Ramayana Part 1 is slated for a theatrical release during Diwali.
