Main Vaapas Aaunga collected Rs. 60 lakh on its 4th Monday, registering a 40 per cent drop from the 4th Friday. The 4th week’s cume reached Rs. 5.50 crore in 4 days, taking the running cume to Rs. 54.50 crore nett at the Indian box office.
The romantic drama is looking to close this week around Rs. 8-9 crore, which will take its total cume closer to the Rs. 60 crore mark. The momentum has slowed down this week, probably due to the new release, Alpha. The Imtiaz Ali film will keep on facing new challenges each passing week from here on, with Dhamaal 4 releasing in the coming weekend.
Main Vaapas Aaunga is looking to close its entire box office run around Rs. 65 crore nett or so. That may not be enough for it to call a HIT, but definitely a success. What’s interesting is that the movie witnessed a miraculous trend, thanks to positive word-of-mouth, after making a debut with just a crore.
The Box Office Collections for Main Vaapas Aaunga in India are as follows:
Day Nett
Week One Rs. 11.50 cr.
Week Two Rs. 21.25 cr.
