Newly married actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna tied the knot on February 26, 2026. While the couple has just begun a new chapter in their personal lives, reports suggest they may be returning to work sooner than expected—possibly just two weeks after their wedding.
Will Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna Resume Ranabaali Shoot Soon?
According to a report by 123Telugu, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are expected to resume shooting for their upcoming film Ranabaali very soon.
The report claims the actors could begin filming a new schedule starting March 12, 2026, which is just 14 days after their wedding. Production on the film is reportedly set to restart on March 9, with the lead pair joining the sets a few days later.
Notably, Ranabaali will be the first film featuring the couple together after their marriage.
The film is directed by Rahul Sankrityan, best known for Shyam Singha Roy. Inspired by real events that took place in India between 1854 and 1878 during British colonial rule, the movie tells the story of a fearless freedom fighter who stood up against colonial oppression.
In the film, Vijay Deverakonda plays the title character, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays Jayamma, his wife.
Earlier, the filmmakers surprised fans by releasing a special glimpse of a song celebrating the on-screen union of the lead pair.
Apart from Vijay and Rashmika, the film also features Arnold Vosloo in a key role. Ranabaali is currently scheduled to release in theatres on September 11, 2026.
Inside Vijay and Rashmika’s Wedding Celebrations
The couple married on February 26, 2026, in a private ceremony attended by close family members and friends. Both actors looked regal in their traditional outfits during the celebrations.
The wedding reportedly included two different ceremonies—a morning ritual honoring Vijay Deverakonda’s family traditions and another ceremony held in the Kodava style, reflecting Rashmika Mandanna’s heritage.
Following the wedding, the couple hosted a grand reception on March 4, 2026, which saw several celebrities in attendance. Guests included Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Karan Johar, Kriti Sanon, and Mrunal Thakur, among others.
Upcoming Projects
On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda will also star in the action film Rowdy Janardhana, which is expected to release in December 2026. Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, the film features Keerthy Suresh as the female lead.
Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna will headline the upcoming action film Mysaa. She is also expected to play a key role in AA22xA6, starring Allu Arjun. The film will also feature Deepika Padukone as the co-lead and will be directed by Atlee.
