Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam), starring Siddharth Gupta and Sanskruti Jayana, wrapped up its third week at the Hindi box office with a collection of Rs. 6.75 crore. The mythological drama added around Rs. 1 crore on Thursday, taking its total three-week cume to Rs. 28 crore nett in India.
The film is now expected to cross the Rs. 30 crore milestone during its fourth weekend before gradually heading toward the end of its theatrical run. Considering its relatively modest release scale and comparatively lesser-known cast, the movie has performed respectably at the box office, though it fell short of the breakout success the makers were aiming for.
Trade observers note that films within the same devotional-mythological space, such as Mahavatar Narsimha and Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate, had delivered exceptional numbers last year, raising expectations for Krishnavataram Part 1. While the film’s trailer received praise for its grand visuals and ambitious scale, the high production costs meant the project needed significantly stronger box office returns to emerge as a major commercial success.
Despite the absence of major star power, the religious and emotional themes helped the film maintain a steady theatrical run over the past few weeks.
