Raja Shivaji has completed its fourth week at the Indian box office with a collection of approximately Rs. 5.25 crore. Headlined and directed by Riteish Deshmukh, the historical epic recorded a 60 percent drop from the previous week, which is considered a reasonable hold as the film enters the final phase of its theatrical run.

With four weeks completed, the film’s total India nett collection now stands at an impressive Rs. 108.25 crore, with a major contribution coming from its Marathi version. Based on current trends, Raja Shivaji is expected to conclude its overall theatrical run in the range of Rs. 110–115 crore gross in India, depending on its hold over the coming weeks.

The film has already created history by becoming the highest-grossing Marathi film in India, surpassing blockbusters like Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva. However, trade analysts point out that both those films were primarily Maharashtra-centric releases, while Raja Shivaji also enjoyed a substantial release in Hindi-speaking markets.

In Maharashtra, which remains the film’s core market, Raja Shivaji is still expected to finish below the lifetime collections of Sairat and Baipan Bhari Deva. Expectations had been significantly higher due to the strong box office performances of historical dramas such as Tanhaji and Chhaava in the state. While Tanhaji would reportedly adjust to nearly Rs. 250 crore today, Chhaava crossed the Rs. 300 crore milestone in Maharashtra. In comparison, Raja Shivaji is unlikely to touch the Rs. 100 crore mark within the state alone.
