Bigg Boss fans across South India are in for a major television event as the Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada editions of the popular reality show are set to return with new seasons. Ahead of their premieres, a special crossover promo brings all four hosts — Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mohanlal, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kichcha Sudeepa — together on screen.

The 1-minute-33-second promo features the four hosts in a light-hearted food-themed sequence, with each actor representing the cultural identity of his respective region. Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mohanlal return as the hosts of the Telugu and Malayalam editions, while Vijay Sethupathi and Kichcha Sudeepa reprise their roles for the Tamil and Kannada versions.
The promo cleverly revolves around a food mix-up involving dishes from the hosts’ respective states. Through the fun exchange, it connects all four regional editions while highlighting their distinct cultures and languages.
Bigg Boss Tamil and Bigg Boss Telugu are entering their 10th seasons, while Mohanlal is returning to host Bigg Boss Malayalam for the eighth time. Bigg Boss Kannada, meanwhile, is heading into its 13th season.
The Tamil edition will air on Vijay TV, while Bigg Boss Telugu will be broadcast on Star Maa. Bigg Boss Malayalam will premiere on Asianet, with the Kannada edition airing on Colors Kannada. Viewers will also be able to stream the shows 24×7 on JioHotstar.
All four South Indian editions are scheduled to premiere simultaneously on September 6, 2026. Although the shows will retain their separate contestants, stories, and regional identities, the four-way crossover will serve as a common launch event.
Ahead of the television premieres, digital pre-shows are already streaming online, featuring commoners competing for an opportunity to enter the respective Bigg Boss houses. The finalists from these pre-shows will move forward to the main editions.
Interestingly, Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 20 is also scheduled to premiere on September 6. The new season will mark Salman Khan’s 17th consecutive year as the host of the Hindi edition.
