Jr NTR’s upcoming film Dragon has been generating massive excitement online ever since the makers unveiled its official glimpse. Amid the growing buzz, fresh reports claim that Sidhant Gupta has come on board to play a role that was earlier expected to be portrayed by Tovino Thomas.
Is Sidhant Gupta replacing Tovino Thomas in Dragon?
As per a report by Variety India, Sidhant Gupta is likely stepping into Dragon as Boby Sarkar, a character believed to be the brother of Luger, played by Jr NTR. However, the makers have not yet officially confirmed the casting update.
Earlier, Tovino Thomas was reportedly attached to an important role in the film. During a recent media interaction, the actor confirmed that he was no longer associated with the project. Reports suggest he opted out because the film required a long shooting schedule, which would have affected several of his Malayalam commitments.
The recently released glimpse also hinted that Sidhant Gupta’s character will be linked to the Afghan Trading Company (ATC) as Wazir, making him a crucial figure in the storyline with a strong connection to the protagonist. However, additional details regarding his role and the plot are still under wraps.
For those unaware, Dragon marks Sidhant Gupta’s debut in South Indian cinema. The actor first gained attention through commercials before making a mark in films and OTT projects. He has appeared in movies like Badmashiyaan, Bhoomi, and Operation Romeo.
