Kiara Advani has opened up about Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, revealing that the film presents a refreshing and unconventional perspective on relationships between men and women. Starring Yash in the lead role, the much-awaited action drama has been generating significant buzz despite its release date still being under wraps.

Kiara Advani calls Toxic “liberation in love”

Speaking to Bombay Times, Kiara shared that the film challenged her own perceptions about relationships and emotional freedom. The actress explained that director Geetu Mohandas narrated a story that felt unconventional and morally grey, yet deeply liberating.

Kiara said, “Toxic completely changes the way you see the dynamics between men and women. Even for me, when Geetu Mohandas narrated the script, I felt that this could also be normal, even though it may be grey and not conventional. But there’s a certain liberation in love.”

The actress further admitted that the film made her reflect on her own mindset, adding that she admired the emotional detachment and freedom portrayed in the story. She also described Toxic as a complete drama film and revealed that the role demanded immense hard work while allowing her to explore something entirely different from her previous projects.

Earlier, Yash had also spoken about the film and praised its strong female characters, calling them “bad*ss” and central to the narrative.
