Peddi continued its impressive run at the box office on Monday, collecting approximately Rs. 15.75 crore across India. The Telugu states remained the primary driving force behind the film’s success, contributing around Rs. 12.75 crore to the day’s total. With this, the five-day cumulative gross has climbed to nearly Rs. 198.50 crore.
The film has already crossed the Rs. 150 crore mark in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and is now on track to breach the Rs. 200 crore milestone in the region during its second weekend.
The Monday performance was particularly encouraging, with collections dropping by roughly 50 percent from Friday. In the Telugu states, the decline was even lower, highlighting the film’s strong audience acceptance. Coastal Andhra emerged as the standout performer once again, generating around Rs. 6.75 crore on Monday alone—a drop of just 38 percent from Friday. Notably, the region outperformed the Monday numbers of major blockbusters such as Pushpa 2 and Kalki 2898 AD, both of which had collected below Rs. 6 crore in the same territory.
The film also maintained healthy trends in Nizam and Ceded, strengthening its position as a major success in the Telugu-speaking markets. Thanks largely to its exceptional performance in Coastal Andhra, Peddi is now firmly on course for blockbuster status in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Outside its home markets, the film has delivered respectable business in Karnataka, though collections in other regions have fallen short of expectations. The overseas performance has also been underwhelming, leaving some distributors facing potential losses. Despite these challenges, the film’s final box office outcome will depend on how it sustains momentum in the coming weeks.
A key concern remains the film’s high production cost. While the producers have mitigated risk through distribution deals, the Hindi dubbed version has failed to generate the kind of response needed to justify the film’s large-scale budget.
