Nandamuri Balakrishna likely to join hands with Good Bad Ugly director Adhik Ravichandran; AK64 faces uncertainty
Nandamuri Balakrishna, who already has projects lined up with Gopichand Malineni and Koratala Siva, may soon add another filmmaker to his busy schedule. Reports suggest the veteran star is being considered for a collaboration with director Adhik Ravichandran.
Is Adhik Ravichandran directing Balakrishna next?
As per reports from Valai Pechu, Adhik Ravichandran has reportedly narrated an action-packed script to Balakrishna. With his proposed second film alongside Ajith Kumar said to be facing delays, the filmmaker is believed to be exploring another project in the meantime.
That said, neither Balakrishna nor Adhik Ravichandran has officially confirmed the development. Earlier, Adhik had revealed that his next venture would reunite him with Ajith Kumar for a film tentatively titled AK64. However, industry buzz indicates that the project has been delayed due to pending discussions regarding production and financing.
Ajith Kumar and Balakrishna’s upcoming ventures
Ajith Kumar was most recently seen in Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran. The action entertainer featured an ensemble cast including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu, Prasanna, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, and Shine Tom Chacko.
Meanwhile, Balakrishna’s latest release was Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, directed by Boyapati Sreenu. The sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda also starred Aadhi Pinisetty, Samyuktha Menon, and Harshaali Malhotra in important roles.
The actor is also gearing up for NBK111 with Gopichand Malineni. While Nayanthara was initially expected to play the female lead, recent reports claim Kajal Aggarwal could replace her.
In addition, Balakrishna has announced NBK112 with Koratala Siva. The film is reportedly titled Carpenter, with Anirudh Ravichander likely to compose the soundtrack and background score.
