Krishnavataram Part 1

Krishnavataram Part 1: Hridayam added Rs. 3.75 crore to the tally in its third weekend, with Rs. 1.75 crore coming on Sunday. The mythological fantasy drama maintained a low-but-steady hold throughout its run and took its running cume to the Rs. 25 crore nett mark in 17 days, including previews. The movie collected another Rs. 3 crore nett from the South Indian dubbed versions.

Based on current trends, the Siddharth Gupta and Sanskruti Jayana starrer movie is looking to close its third week around Rs. 5.50-6 crore. As such, it is headed for a final number somewhere between Rs. 30-35 crore. That is an impressive performance for a film with no face value and little awareness pre-release. In fact, there was nothing known about it before the trailer was released.

The trailer of Krishnavataram impressed with its visuals and scale, and since it was based on a religious figure, the lack of face value could be overlooked. However, the visuals and scale were big because costs were high, and FOR THESE costs, the film needed better box office as well.

The Box Office Collections for Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hindi) in India are as follows:
Week/Day Nett
Week 1 Rs. 11.75 cr.
Week 2 Rs. 9.50 cr.

3rd Friday Rs. 0.65 cr.
3rd Saturday Rs. 1.35 cr.
3rd Sunday Rs. 1.75 cr.

Total Rs. 25.00 cr.
