Jana Nayagan witnessed a strong surge on Saturday at the Indian box office, collecting approximately Rs. 33 crore. With this, the Thalapathy Vijay starrer’s three-day running total has reached around Rs. 108.25 crore gross in India.

The film is expected to see further growth on Sunday, potentially taking its four-day extended opening weekend collection to around Rs. 145 crore. While the film has performed well over the weekend, its Monday hold will be crucial in determining how far it can go during its theatrical run.

Tamil Nadu emerged as the biggest contributor, with the film crossing the Rs. 20 crore mark on Saturday. Achieving such a figure on a non-opening day remains rare, with only a handful of films managing the feat, most of them featuring Vijay in the lead role.

The film achieved this despite mixed reports. The Hindi-dubbed version also recorded some growth from a low base, while Karnataka witnessed an uptick in collections. The Telugu states, however, remained largely flat.
