Irumudi, headlined by Ravi Teja, is scheduled to hit theatres on August 21, 2026. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film’s trailer has been released a week before its theatrical arrival, offering a glimpse into its emotional and dramatic storyline.
Irumudi Trailer: Ravi Teja’s character sets out to win back his daughter’s trust
Running for 2 minutes and 59 seconds, the trailer introduces Ravi Teja as a loving father who is deeply attached to his daughter and willing to go to any extent for her. However, his struggle with alcohol addiction has severely affected his family life. His behaviour reaches a point where even his own daughter becomes afraid of him.
The trailer then hints at the father’s efforts to rebuild his relationship with his daughter and regain the trust he has lost.
To reconnect with her and restore her faith in him, Ravi Teja’s character takes up the 41-day ritual associated with the pilgrimage to Sabarimala’s Ayyappa Temple. But his personal struggles are not the only challenge he faces.
Amid the turmoil within his family, he also comes across what appears to be systemic oppression at his daughter’s school, adding another layer to the conflict.
The trailer indicates that Irumudi will revolve around the father’s emotional transformation as he attempts to become a better parent while standing up against the various challenges threatening his daughter. The story appears to combine family emotions, personal redemption, and social conflict as Ravi Teja’s character fights to safeguard his child against all odds.
