Drishyam 3 wrapped its extended opening week at Rs. 197 crore gross at the worldwide box office. It grossed Rs. 142.25 crore in its opening weekend itself, while the rest came on weekdays. Nearly Rs. 62.70 crore came only from its home turf, while the rest of the Indian markets contributed around Rs. 32.50 crore, making its domestic cume of Rs. 95.20 crore gross.
The Mohanlal starrer recorded the second biggest opening week of all time for a Malayalam film, both in Kerala and worldwide. It trailed only behind Lalettan’s own L2 Empuraan (Rs. 234.50 crore). Drishyam 3 is almost sealed to clock Rs. 250 crore gross mark worldwide by the end of its full run. It will be interesting to see whether it can challenge Lokah Chapter One: Chandra’s Rs. 300 crore lifetime cume.
