Deool Band 2 has concluded its theatrical run on a remarkable note, emerging as one of the biggest successes in Marathi cinema. Directed by Pravin Tarde, the devotional drama wrapped up its box office journey with an estimated Rs. 85 crore gross at the Indian box office.
Headlined by Mohan Joshi, Snehal Tarde, Pravin Tarde, Mahesh Manjrekar, and an ensemble cast, the film exceeded industry expectations to become the third-highest-grossing Marathi film in Maharashtra. It surpassed the lifetime collections of Raja Shivaji in the state, while finishing behind only Baipan Bhari Deva and Sairat, both of which earned close to Rs. 90 crore in Maharashtra.
Across all versions, Raja Shivaji remains the highest-grossing Marathi film overall with around Rs. 110 crore, aided by its Hindi-dubbed release. Despite topping the charts, the historical drama was widely considered an underperformer relative to its massive box office potential.
For Deool Band 2, however, the Rs. 85 crore finish represents a huge commercial triumph. The film has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters and among the most profitable Marathi releases of the year, reaffirming that strong content can attract audiences regardless of budget or star power.
