Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata registered a solid jump on its second day, collecting Rs. 1.40 crore nett and recording growth of around 75-80 percent compared to its opening day. With this, the Kangana Ranaut-led medical drama has accumulated Rs. 2.20 crore nett at the Indian box office after two days. While the increase is encouraging, the overall numbers remain on the lower side.
Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the film is currently expected to finish its opening weekend with collections in the range of Rs. 4 crore to Rs. 4.50 crore nett. To achieve a respectable lifetime total, it will need to maintain strong momentum during the weekdays.
At present, the film is tracking below the performance of Kangana Ranaut’s previous release, Emergency. Trade estimates suggest that Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata may end its theatrical run around the Rs. 10 crore nett mark, which would be considered a disappointing outcome.
As things stand, Kangana Ranaut’s search for a clear box-office success continues. The film is facing stiff competition from new releases such as Main Vaapas Aaunga, Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past, Backrooms, Disclosure Day, along with several holdover titles. It remains to be seen whether the movie can exceed expectations and post stronger numbers during the weekdays.
