Official trailer and plot of Pallichattambi

Set against the backdrop of the 1950s, Pallichattambi follows the story of Krishna Pillai (played by Tovino Thomas), whose life is marked by tragedy from a young age. After losing his family in a brutal attack, he is rescued by a priest and brought up with the support of several villagers. Another heartbreaking incident later pushes him to dedicate his life to fighting injustice.

Years later, Krishna arrives in the village of Kaaniyar under the identity of Pothan Christopher. His courage, kindness, and leadership quickly win over the villagers, who begin to see him as one of their own. During his stay, he develops a close relationship with Rebecca, a young woman determined to build a school that offers education to everyone, irrespective of their background.

As violence begins to disrupt the peace in Kaaniyar, Krishna uncovers a decades-old conspiracy involving a ruthless feudal landlord whose actions have left lasting scars on many lives, including his own. Determined to expose the truth and protect the villagers, he leads the community in their fight against oppression.

The story ultimately traces Krishna’s journey of sacrifice, justice, and redemption as he battles powerful enemies while helping Rebecca realise her dream. The film concludes with Krishna preparing to confront “The Great” Pattelar Kunjambu Nambiar, laying the foundation for a sequel.
