Nimisha Sajayan is set to headline Babita Singh Reporting alongside Barun Sobti and Anshumaan Pushkar. Directed by Ambiecka Pandit and written by Amita Vyas, the suspense thriller unfolds in a small Indian town where one mysterious death triggers a chain of secrets, doubts and revelations.

Babita Singh Reporting plot and trailer
The story revolves around Babita Singh, aka Baby, played by Nimisha Sajayan, a woman known for constantly putting other people’s needs ahead of her own. Her life takes an unexpected turn when her childhood friend Bansi, portrayed by Barun Sobti, dies under mysterious circumstances.
Determined to uncover what really happened, Baby begins following a trail of clues. Her investigation, however, soon becomes deeply personal, forcing her to question her relationships and confront uncomfortable truths about herself and those around her.
Director Ambiecka Pandit described the film as a mystery driven equally by emotion, with the investigation gradually revealing far more than the circumstances surrounding the death.
Nimisha Sajayan on playing Baby
Nimisha Sajayan revealed that Baby became one of the most significant characters of her career. She explained that portraying the character encouraged her to reflect on her own relationships, the way she interacts with people and the compromises people sometimes make without recognizing them.
The actor added that her personal connection with Baby made the role particularly meaningful and one she expects to remember for a long time.
