Main Vaapas Aaunga recorded the best day of its box office run yet, collecting Rs. 4.50 crore nett approx on its second Saturday. This marks an exceptional 125 per cent growth from its second Friday and an even stronger 145 per cent jump over its first Saturday. The film had an occupancy rate of over 50 per cent nationwide, which is an excellent performance.

Delhi-NCR and East Punjab remain top-performing markets, making almost half of the total daily collections. The film is now collecting well in Mumbai and Mysore as well, with the latter nearing Rs. 50 lakh nett yesterday.

Going into the weekend, the hope was that the film, which was trending strongly albeit at a low level of collections, would reach a somewhat decent Rs. 4-5 crore nett on Sunday. The film has done better, managing that on Saturday itself, despite facing severe showcasing cuts. The showcasing was terrible on Friday at less than half of the first week; it improved somewhat yesterday, and today on Sunday it has gotten even better, now on par with the first week. As a result, there should be another growth today, with advances suggesting potentially Rs. 5.50-6 crore nett day.

The second weekend for the film is going to be Rs. 12-12.50 crore nett approx, which will be more than double its first weekend and on par with the entire first week. It is now in a much better position than it was last Friday, when even Rs. 10 crore final seemed like a herculean task. Main Vaapas Aaunga is like a mini-Dhurandhar, which opened “not good” but saw increasing collection over the first week and then, in the second weekend, it came on its own. There is still a lot of work to do, but now, there is a sense of optimism. Living up to its title, it seems like film vaapas aa gyi.

The Day-Wise Box Office Collections for Main Vaapas Aaunga in India are as follows:
