Drishyam 3 continues its phenomenal run at the Kerala box office, showing remarkable stability even in its second weekend. Headlined by Mohanlal and directed by Jeethu Joseph, the crime thriller collected an estimated Rs. 4.50 crore on Day 10 (Saturday), registering a healthy 10 percent jump over the previous day.
The film witnessed a drop of roughly 50 percent compared to its opening Saturday, which is considered an excellent hold for a film of this scale. With this, Drishyam 3 has amassed Rs. 8.75 crore over the first two days of its second weekend.
Based on current trends, the movie is expected to finish its second weekend with collections close to Rs. 15 crore, pushing its overall Kerala gross toward the Rs. 80 crore mark. Once it reaches that milestone, the film will need only around Rs. 20 crore more to enter the prestigious Rs. 100 crore club, a feat it is likely to achieve during its third week.
Interestingly, if it reaches the three-digit mark, Drishyam 3 will become Mohanlal’s second film to cross Rs. 100 crore in Kerala after Thudarum, which opened the club last year. Should the thriller maintain its current momentum, it could also emerge as a challenger to some of Malayalam cinema’s biggest box-office performers, including Vaazha 2, Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, and Thudarum.
