Vijay Deverakonda and filmmaker Ravi Kiran Kola are teaming up for the first time for the upcoming action entertainer Rowdy Janardhana. As the film gears up for its December 2026 release, the makers unveiled a striking new poster featuring Vijay alongside Keerthy Suresh while also wishing the actor on his 37th birthday.

The makers took to social media to share a new poster from Rowdy Janardhana, showcasing Keerthy Suresh’s character standing over Vijay’s rugged character, Janardhana, while he holds a revolver. Along with the poster, the team wrote, “A man who fights the world… but surrenders only to love. Wishing our Rowdy Janardhana, Vijay Deverakonda, a very Happy Birthday.”
Re-sharing the post, Keerthy Suresh penned a sweet birthday message for her co-star, writing, “Now I can officially say this, Happy Birthday, Rowdy!”

Earlier promotional glimpses of the film had already hinted that Rowdy Janardhana would be a gritty and high-energy action drama. Vijay Deverakonda appeared in a completely transformed avatar, flaunting a muscular physique while taking down enemies in brutal action sequences. Sporting a lungi, long hair, and a thick twirled moustache, the actor embraced a rooted and rustic look for the role.
The teaser also highlighted his East Godavari Telugu dialect, adding authenticity to the character. Interestingly, the makers released the title glimpse in multiple languages including Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, with Vijay dubbing for all the versions himself.
Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, known for Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru and as the writer of Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, the film also features music composed by Christo Xavier, known for Bramayugam and Diés Iraé. Cinematography is handled by Anend C Chandran.

Apart from Rowdy Janardhana, Vijay Deverakonda will also be seen in the period drama Ranabaali alongside Rashmika Mandanna. The film is scheduled to release on September 11, 2026.
