NBK111: Manchu Manoj joins Nandamuri Balakrishna’s action entertainer directed by Gopichandh Malineni

Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Gopichandh Malineni are gearing up to collaborate once again for the tentatively titled NBK111. As preparations for the film move ahead, actor Manchu Manoj has officially come on board the project.

The makers took to social media to announce Manchu Manoj’s inclusion in the cast on the occasion of his 43rd birthday.

After the announcement, the actor shared an emotional note expressing his happiness about being part of the project. He wrote that this birthday brought him one of the most special gifts he could have asked for and revealed his excitement about finally sharing screen space with “Lion NBK Balayya Anna” under the direction of Gopichandh Malineni.

Manoj further mentioned that the film would remain particularly close to his heart because of the respect and bond he shares with both Balakrishna and the filmmaker. He also thanked fans for their love and promised that the project would deliver a memorable cinematic experience worth the wait.

Female lead yet to be finalized

While the makers are still keeping additional details under wraps, earlier reports suggested that Nayanthara was expected to play the female lead opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna. However, recent reports indicate that the actress may opt out due to scheduling conflicts, with Kajal Aggarwal likely to replace her. An official confirmation regarding the casting is still awaited.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s recent and upcoming projects

On the work front, Nandamuri Balakrishna was last seen in Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, directed by Boyapati Sreenu. The fantasy action drama served as a sequel to Akhanda and featured Aadhi Pinisetty, Samyuktha Menon, and Harshaali Malhotra in key roles. The film reportedly received mixed reactions and underperformed commercially.

The veteran actor has also announced another collaboration with director Koratala Siva for the tentatively titled NBK112. Reports suggest the film may eventually be titled Carpenter, with music likely to be composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
