Salman Khan’s Tere Naam Re-Release Crosses ₹1 Crore, Collects ₹15 Lakh on Day 5

Salman Khan’s iconic romantic drama Tere Naam, directed by the late Satish Kaushik, is back in cinemas and making its presence felt at the box office. On Day 5, the tragic love story added an estimated ₹15 lakh to its collections, thanks in part to discounted ticket fares on Tuesday. With the Holi festival and holidays around the corner, the film is expected to see further gains on Wednesday and Thursday.

Despite a slow start compared to what it could have earned on a standard weekend, Tere Naam has now crossed the ₹1 crore mark in its re-release, taking five days to do so. Considering the Ramadan period and its limited release, the film is performing reasonably well, though audience demand suggests it could have performed even stronger.

Based on current trends, the movie is expected to surpass ₹1.50 crore by its second weekend. How high it can go beyond that will depend on its performance in the second week.

Competition at the box office is fairly limited, with The Kerala Story 2 being the only notable rival. Interestingly, another Salman Khan classic, Andaaz Apna Apna, featuring Aamir Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Raveena Tandon, is set for a re-release on March 6 in selected cinemas. It will be worth watching how the comedy performs compared to Tere Naam.
