The end-credits scene of Dhurandhar made one thing clear: a sequel was officially on the way. Since then, fans have been waiting impatiently for their first glimpse of Dhurandhar Part 2 — and now, director Aditya Dhar has finally dropped a hint about when that moment might arrive.
Aditya Dhar teases Dhurandhar Part 2 teaser release
After Dhurandhar smashed box office records, expectations around its sequel have only grown. Social media has been buzzing with one question aimed at Aditya Dhar: When is the teaser coming?
The filmmaker finally answered — in his own playful way. On Instagram Stories, Dhar reposted a meme from a fan that read, “Aditya Dhar mazak nahi, teaser jaldi” (No jokes, Aditya Dhar — release the teaser soon). His response was short but enough to send fans into a frenzy: “Teaser will be out in a few days!”
If industry buzz is anything to go by, the teaser for Dhurandhar Part 2 could drop on January 26, 2026, aligning with Republic Day.
What to expect from Dhurandhar Part 2
In Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh delivered a powerful performance as undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who infiltrates Pakistan’s criminal network by posing as ally Hamza Ali Mazari. As he navigates a dangerous web of crime and politics, he takes down one enemy after another — but the mission remains unfinished.
That’s where Dhurandhar Part 2 picks up. Ranveer’s character returns to complete his mission and finally confront Bade Sahab. Akshaye Khanna, who left a strong impression with his character inspired by gangster Rehman Dakait, will appear only in flashback sequences in the sequel.
Several familiar faces are set to return, including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. There are also strong rumors that Vicky Kaushal may join the cast, potentially reprising his role as Major Vihaan Singh Shergill from Aditya Dhar’s National Award-winning film Uri: The Surgical Strike.
Titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the action-packed sequel is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026 — and if Dhar’s hint is anything to go by, fans won’t have to wait much longer for their first look.
