Ram Charan is all set to team up once again with director Sukumar for their next big project, with filming scheduled to kick off in July 2026. The duo last worked together on Rangasthalam, a cult blockbuster that redefined rustic storytelling in Telugu cinema and became a massive box office success. Fans are already buzzing at the thought of this reunion.
According to sources, Sukumar has already begun working on the script and is shaping the narrative with his core team, who have started pre-production well in advance to ensure a smooth and ambitious shoot. “Sukumar is currently writing the script, and his team is laying the groundwork. The film will start right after the release of Peddi and is said to be a brilliant story. Charan is thrilled, so is Sukumar, and the shoot is expected to span about a year starting July 2026,” revealed an insider.
Ram Charan, riding high on a series of pan-Indian projects, is particularly excited to collaborate again with Sukumar, who previously gave him one of the most celebrated roles of his career. Sources say Charan has been actively involved in script discussions and is fully committed to bringing his best performance under Sukumar’s direction.
The untitled film promises to be grand in scale, packed with intense drama and Sukumar’s signature layered characters. With this much-anticipated reunion, it’s shaping up to be one of the most awaited Telugu films in the coming years.
Meanwhile, Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana (Uppena fame), is gearing up for its theatrical release on March 27, 2026. The rural sports action drama stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu Sharma in key roles. Backed by Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers, the film features music by A.R. Rahman, adding to the excitement.
