Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is one of the most anticipated films starring Yash in the lead role. Initially slated for release in June 2026, the movie was later postponed to a new date. While reports have suggested that the film may not arrive in theaters this year, the team now appears to have hinted at a release date announcement.

Taking to their official social media handle, the Toxic team teased a new announcement. Sharing a post, they wrote, “Got plans for tomorrow?”, hinting that an update may be on the way. While the team is preparing for a new announcement, Aakashavaani reported that the makers are planning to release Toxic in the last week of August 2026. Meanwhile, another report suggested that the film could be pushed further as the team explores options for a wider international rollout.
With an official update expected soon, Yash fans will have to wait and see when the film finally arrives on the big screen.

Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is a period action thriller co-written and directed by Geetu Mohandas. Apart from Yash, the film also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth in prominent roles. The supporting cast includes Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, Amit Tiwari, and several others.
The film’s music and background score have been composed by Ravi Basrur. International action choreographer JJ Perry has helmed several action sequences, while the Anbariv duo has choreographed select portions.
The movie was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English and will be dubbed and released in multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil.
Earlier, the movie was scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026, but was later postponed to June 4. However, in an effort to secure a more favorable worldwide release window, the makers once again delayed the film, with a new release date yet to be announced.
Looking ahead, Yash will also be seen on the big screen during Diwali 2026 as he takes on the role of Ravana in Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Apart from the lead duo, the film will also feature Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol, and several others in key roles.
