Toxic has wrapped up its extended opening weekend with Rs. 113.50 crore nett at the Hindi box office. The Yash starrer collected an estimated Rs. 12.50 crore on Sunday, registering another 8 percent drop from the previous day. The film has maintained a downward trajectory throughout its opening weekend, with Sunday’s business falling more than 75 percent compared with its opening day.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is now heading into a crucial weekday phase. The film is expected to witness a significant drop on Monday, while its performance through the weekdays will determine how much further it can go at the box office. Based on the current trend, the film appears headed for a relatively short theatrical run.

The underwhelming audience reception has impacted the film’s box office prospects significantly. Despite opening strongly, Toxic has failed to sustain its momentum over the extended weekend. The film is considered a box-office failure, while its high production costs and weak non-theatrical recoveries have made the financial situation even more challenging, with losses expected to be substantial.
