The first look and trailer of Neha Dhupia’s international debut film 52 Blue have officially been unveiled. Known for her range as an actor, Neha explores completely new territory in this project, appearing in a raw, deglamourised avatar unlike anything she has done before.

Speaking about the film and her character, Neha shared that 52 Blue has been one of the most emotionally profound and transformative experiences of her career. She revealed that what struck her most while reading the script was the quiet strength of the mother she portrays—a woman who may not express herself loudly, yet profoundly influences her son’s life. Taking on the role of a mother to a young adult for the first time was both demanding and rewarding, as it required her to connect with deeply instinctive and human emotions.
She further added that the deglam aspect of the role was never a concern; instead, it felt freeing. It allowed her to let go of vanity and fully immerse herself in the character’s world—her silence, resilience, and unconditional love. According to Neha, there is immense power in portraying a character who finds strength in vulnerability.

Neha described her collaboration with filmmaker Ali El Arabi as eye-opening. She praised his honest and grounded storytelling approach, noting that he creates a safe space for actors to explore and push their limits. Filming in Kochi added a layer of authenticity to the narrative with its intimate and distinctive setting.
