Samantha Ruth Prabhu and her husband, Raj Nidimoru, have been in the spotlight as they get ready to welcome their first child. Following the strong response to Maa Inti Bangaaram, the actress has now revealed that she plans to step away from films for a while.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu announces a temporary break from acting
In a conversation with Behindwoods, Samantha shared that she intends to take some time off after the success of Maa Inti Bangaaram.
“I’m planning to take a break while riding the wave of Maa Inti Bangaaram’s success. I’ll be stepping away for a little while, and it feels wonderful to do so at a time when the film is receiving so much love,” she said.
The actress was recently photographed alongside her husband, Raj Nidimoru, with many fans noticing what appeared to be a baby bump. Although Samantha has not publicly addressed her pregnancy,she is expecting her first child, with the baby due in December 2026.
Samantha and Raj have been spotted together on several recent occasions. Earlier, Megastar Chiranjeevi also extended his heartfelt wishes to the couple as they prepare for this new phase of life.

Samantha was last seen leading Maa Inti Bangaaram, where she portrayed Swarna, a newly married woman trying to fit into a traditional family while concealing parts of her past.
As old secrets begin to resurface, Swarna is forced to confront dangerous challenges and protect her loved ones from threats that could disrupt their lives.
The film also stars Gulshan Devaiah and Diganth Manchale in important roles, alongside Gautami Tadimalla, Sreemukhi, Manjusha, and Srinivas Gavireddy.
Directed by B. V. Nandini Reddy, the movie features music by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Om Prakash, and editing by Dharmendra Kakarala.
